Despite COVID lockdowns and forced isolation, 2021 was a year of expansion. From our bubble, Elyce and I have been blessed by new connections and musical friendships with people we have yet to meet in person. 2022 is set to be a big year with the harvest of music begun in the last year.

When I began recording back in the 70s, I wished I had a producer to help bring my musical visions to life. I had to bite the bullet and learn to do it the hard way, teaching myself. Elyce says I should have met Rob Stuart back then, but as Aslan says, "Never think of what might have been!"

Thanks to an introduction from the ubiquitous Kevin Alberga, Rob Stuart and I met (virtually) in 2021, resulting in the astonishing MIRACLE 2021 (Rob Stuart's Spacial Mix). A chord was struck between us and we've been working together since, with an album now in the works. TAKEN BY SURPRISE is your first taste of the fruit of that tree!

The process is a symbiotic pleasure for me. I sing and Rob produces the music. The result is something neither of us would have done separately, and much more than the sum of the parts.
